As one of the biggest publishers of the Benelux, Mediahuis does not have a shortage of content. The true challenge is: how, in an increasingly digital world, do we reach, inspire and persuade an audience in an automated way.

Het Groot Dictee

De Standaard regularly organises contests for different demographic groups to gain new contacts and enrich profiles. Het Groot Dictee is challenging an adult target audience to participate in an online interactive dictation, with a chance of winning a spot in a prestigious finale.

Lead generation

A first step in participating with Het Groot Dictee is registration. Mediahuis approaches an omni-channel strategy. Gathering not only email address but also home address and phone number allows De Standaard to further reach and re-target an audience with relevant content.

Integrated interactivity

A seamless integration between the video delivery system and interactive forms of Selligent Campaign creates a true feeling of live participation. A timer and drop-out mechanism made sure questions could only be answered once and within a time frame of 30 seconds.

Social sharing

Tracking of progress and calculation of scoring is performed real-time, making sure at the end of the contest a congratulation message can be displayed. To stimulate organic marketing, buttons are provided to share your outcome with friends and family.

De Standaard has achieved many new profiles as well as enriched already existing con
